It’s been another great week hopping around the Internet, spying lovely, shiny things. As usual, just click the images to be taken to the websites.
I love this Annelle wedding dress by Folded Roses on Etsy. I originally had the idea that I wanted a short dress for my day, so I have a soft spot for these lengths of gown. This is a cracker of a dress. It’s young and feminine and you could even wear it again. A wee beauty.
Alice in Weddingland’s photo story of an incredibly stylish Alice in Wonderland meets Steampunk wedding day. Love it.
Gorgeous personalised cake toppers!
Bessie the Caravan! I love the idea of Bessie the caravan. I love that she has a name as well as goes to weddings and events with her teas and cakes. I’ll be doing a full feature on Bessie soon, so keep an eye out for that.
The Art, Design and Crafts
Lily Pie Vintage – I want Lauren’s customised china in my cupboards right now! I love the raunched-up traditional china, adorned with pinup girls and tattoo-like skull motifs. Enough to give the vicar palpitations and pray for your soul when he comes round for his tea.
Ampersand Design Studio – Being a bit of a typography nerd, I spotted Morgan and Carrie’s fabulous Etsy shop a mile off. Full of bright colours and the lovely ampersand symbol, their art prints would look great on any wall. Really stylish wares.
Thanks to the brilliant Amelia at Noble Hound, I’ve been introduced to Katie Hamilton‘s arresting photography. I’ve got a full feature coming up on Katie in the near future, and you can read my post with Amelia here. Here’s a shot from Katie’s elegant Gatsby-inspired shoot at Eynsham Hall (I have to go there. I love these places!!).
I loved this: 9 Insider Tips for Native Advertising that Actually Work.
I found this article on ‘what the heck do stylists do?!’ really informative. They are the thrust behind the image created by a whole team of people. It focuses on Robbie Spencer, the fashion director at Dazed & Confused, and I especially liked the bit about trying to explain what he does to his grandma!
I might print out this post about small business advice and put it on my wall. Totally motivating quotes that’ll make you feel extra great about being an entrepreneur. Like a little empathetic pat on the back from people in the know.
I might have to spend all my spare money at Owl and Brew. This teapot is mine come payday. Schwing!
I fell in love with this little collage by Instagrammer shaneenrosephotos. I’m going to be doing a feature on her work soon because it’s just beautiful.
That’s all, folks. Laters (said like Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch edition).
