Exciting news, engaged people of the alternative kind – the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza (EWE) is back! And this time with not one but two shows – London and Birmingham.

And fear not, these are not your everyday wedding fairs…

“Back in early 2012, a wedding show like no other was born. It tumbled, devoid of elegance, from the crazy hearts and minds of three creative wedding industry suppliers, Sassy (Assassynation), Jo (The Couture Company) and Vikki (Liliia Designs). Their desire was simple: to encourage couples to shake off the shackles of wedding conformity, and to showcase the very best of alternative wedding industry suppliers, offering a diverse and eclectic feast of all things wedding in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.”

Since 2012, EWE has been dedicated to exhibiting a diverse range of services and products, from historical inspired dresses to sculptural flower bouquets, from gothic themed wedding cakes to giant paper flower decorations. Previous shows have included live music, stilt walkers, a procession of models in gorgeous dresses and accessories on the fashion walkabout, and amazing prizes in the treasure hunt.

Check out the video below for a virtual tour!

The first Extravaganza on February 1st, 2015, will take place at the beautiful Fazeley Studios, situated in the heart of Birmingham’s industrial Digbeth.

The second Extravaganza on March 1st, 2015, will be held at Far Rockaway, a hub inspired by urban street art and culture and serving New York style food, which has opened its doors as a new wedding reception venue in the heart of Shoreditch.

Some more information for EWE

  • At both shows there’ll be a chill out area and café facilities so you can have a drink and something to eat and just sit down and take it all in.
  • There will also be a treasure hunt, chock-full of prizes, where answers to clues can be found on the exhibitors’ (AKA the Baad Ass Mother Flockers) stands
  • The gorgeous Steph and Lee found most of their wedding supplies at EWE – check out their amazing gothic, Tim Burton inspired wedding featured on the blog recently!
  • Tickets are only £3 each, but if you prefer to be a maverick and simply turn up on the day, the door tickets are £6 each. Little lambs get in free and there are some fun things for them to do!!

EWE has kindly given Way Out Wedding two pairs of tickets to give away! Just leave a comment below or contact me with which show you would like to attend and I’ll pick two lucky winners.

And remember:

Don’t be a wedding sheep, it’s all about EWE!
