I always get excited when I see a Flossy & Dossy bride! They’re usually well up on their vintage, retro, in fact anything with a serious injection of wedding cool. Take Kate and Jordan and their kitschy Americana wedding – this is what I’m talking about! A 1950s style bombshell of a bride! One of my top favourite real weddings I’ve featured on the blog, in fact.
But these dresses are incredibly versatile in how you can style them, and they’re for all sorts of brides with all sorts of personal style. This is what I love about this collaboration with Modiste (the bespoke bridal accessories company, whose tagline is excellent, ‘bespoke brides rock!’), that together they create a new look, a grown-up vibe for brides who adore couture and design, who probably read Vogue and Elle and daydream about the clothes. And so the best bit that I’m excited to tell you about is that the cost of these gorgeous dresses and headpieces doesn’t price people out of the market: it’s all very affordable. Best of both worlds!

From Kristin, the photographer
We used completely natural light in the shoot. There’s no clever trickery and there’s no special lighting that won’t be available on your wedding day. For this shoot, we used natural light which is the most truthful light. What you see in these photographs is how the colour, fabric and materials of the dresses and the accessories work under natural light, how they will really look on your wedding day. You can see the shadows, the natural highlights of the fabric as it’s draped across you, and the light shimmer of the accessories and beading.
