I saw some of these gorgeous dresses on Twitter one night, and honestly they are so grand and classically captivating that I have to display them on here!
They are from designer Elizabeth Malcolm, whose boutique is situated in Derwentside Shopping Mill, a Grade II listed building in Belper, Derbyshire, where she offers every choice for every budget, from ‘off the peg’ to sample gowns that can be tweaked, right through to luxurious, one-off couture creations. Every dress will be ensured a perfect fit, and in terms of the couture pieces, she has a promise that your gown will never be available as a sample in the boutique, meaning no other bride will ever have your wedding dress.
This shoot showcases her Midsummer’s Dream collection, a beautiful set of dresses with its heart firmly grounded in romance and bygone era style. Lizzie says that what with the Victorian architecture of the location, “a hint of a Steampunk theme was a natural progression, and this theme tied in really nicely with the fact that the Mill was the first steam powered mill of its kind.”
Let me know which is your favourite and why!
