A couple of months ago, I posted about an embellishment course run by Chloe Patience of international fashion accessories label Bebaroque. I thought it would be a great thing to do with your hens to create unique items for the big day. Now there’s a follow-up course, and this time it’s hand embroidery workshops.
This is a unique chance to work with a successful designer who has had her creations worn by the likes of Lady Gaga, Béyonce, Kate Moss and Katy Perry.
You will learn the basic range of hand embroidery stitches, and then add beads to create your own unique design. Stitches learned will be a variety, including: Blanket; French Knots; Chain; Satin; Feather; and Couching. Participants will be encouraged to design around a personal item of choice, such as a bag or sweater, and will be shown how to apply their design to the chosen item.
Recommended for beginners and semi-experienced.
Workshop cost: £105 (£95 concessions)
When: Thursday evenings 6:00 pm-8:30 pm, from 9th-30th July, 2015
Bookings: firstname.lastname@example.org / T: 07957704497 Payment on booking
Venue: The Creative Exchange in Leith
Other: refreshments included.
I think this would be such a lovely course on the run-up to the wedding. It’d be so nice to have something hand made and personal to add to your outfit!
