My husband and I had our honeymoon in St Ives – what a place! The light is magical, the art is inspiring, the food is incredible, and it all started with that enchanting train ride from St Erth where we felt like we were entering a different world. Yes, you could say I love St Ives! You really should go…

I saw this engagement shoot on Olivia Whitbread-Roberts‘s Facebook, and loved the couple’s style and also the fact it was in this amazing place. I hope you enjoy it and get booking a trip there as soon as possible!

From the Couple – Morwenna and Tom

We met in Norwich and moved in together as friends with a housemate while working together in a bar in the city. After a year, at a New Year’s Eve party, we finally plucked up the courage to tell each other how we really felt, and before we knew it we moved into our own place on Valentine’s Day. We haven’t looked back since, and that’s great as New Year’s Eve is always really special.

Tom proposed on a holiday in Prague. We’d travelled around Europe from Berlin to Dresden on the train and ended up in Prague. It was a bit stressful for him as a massive flood had hit the restaurant he’d booked, and they had to cancel owing to flooding, but he rescheduled a beautiful restaurant up high near the cathedral! We watched the sun go down, then we went for a walk around the cathedral where he got down on one knee and popped the question – I had absolutely no idea.

The engagement shoot was the perfect way to get to meet our lovely photographer and do some warm-up shots to see what the pictures looked like before the big day. It really helped us feel comfortable behind the camera, and was really fun finding all the different places around St Ives to have photos taken. It also meant we could have some photos where we wouldn’t have time on the wedding day itself.

We’re getting married in St Ives, and it’s where I (the bride) am originally from. We chose the areas we did as we both love the harbour, and Love Lane is so cute we had to get a picture under that! We wanted natural, quirky shots of us in the places we love and that’s exactly what we got!
