Oh, the romance in this clever Lady Chatterley’s Lover inspired shoot is through the roof. Featuring a real-life family, complete with such a major cutie of a baby, it’s going to knock your socks off with modern style, drama, and alternative details. Plus the palette and feel is gorgeously and indulgently autumnal, which is perfect for those of you planning weddings for this September onwards.
The Story of the Shoot by Elle at Inspire Hire
“Boconnoc Estate is a favourite venue of mine. It’s so full of atmosphere and ambience, which changes from season to season. I love arriving down the sweeping driveway during the autumn, as ruby red and fire orange leaves flutter to the ground from the old trees. I love walking along the streams surrounded by the flaming ferns as they change from luscious green to burnished gold and copper.
“There is a lovely celtic cross on the estate, on the banks of a beautiful stream, and I’ve always thought it such a beautiful spot for a wedding ceremony or blessing. Even a naming ceremony…
“So our story starts as we see Sarah, our heroine, in her stately bedroom within the elegant Boconnoc House. She receives a note asking her to meet her lover, the woodsman, in the wood shed.
“Tom waits patiently for Sarah to make her escape from the house and across the formal lawns, and into the woodland for their assignation. Their romance blossoms as they cling together against the chill in the autumn air.
“They wed by the ancient moss covered celtic cross, with the music of bird song and babbling brook surrounding them. As the sun sets, they dine under the shadow of the ancient woodland by flickering candlelight, gazing lovingly at one another, and at the happy result of their love – baby Archer!!
“Tom, Sarah and Archer are a real family, and Tom is a Forest School teacher, which gave me the inspiration for this Lady Chatterley inspired plot for our shoot.
“I hope the shoot helps to illustrate how non-traditional couples and families can have stylish and individual celebrations of their love, whatever the time of year, and wherever feels special to them.
“As a stylist, so many of my couples use words such as ‘personal’ and ‘individual’ when they’re trying to describe how they would like their wedding day to look and feel. We love to work with our couples to make sure their day is well and truly all about THEM!
“Don’t feel that a traditional white wedding dress is for you? Have a black one! Or have two! Wish to be wed in the woods – why not!!?? Hearty pumpkin soup and apple pie for your wedding breakfast? Of course you can! Dark rich autumn colours instead of pastel pretty – hell, yes!!!! A pancake wedding cake – we think thats cool!!! Whatever your heart’s desire, we like to think it’s possible to work it into your wedding day!”
