You had me at the words ‘glitter’ and ‘styled shoot’. I mean, come on!! How perfect is this!! Stunningly editorial, which hits me square in the heart for starters, but also completely transferable to real life. Some of the things I love, as you know, dance in the realm of dreams and fantasy and you have to pick elements out for the more everyday context, but this here is that perfect harmony of ‘next level’ styling and doable. You will love this.
The Story of the Shoot by Lucy Davenport
This shoot was inspired by glitter! We wanted to mix an editorial look with an achievable wedding look and created varying levels of impact! Why not glam up your day look to party the night away?
Working with key pieces from several designers, we echo the wearable looks through make-up and the addition of the ‘new age’ real floral headpieces.
We aimed the shoot at a festival bride: someone who is all about the party, wanting to feel like a bride but also have their personality shine through.
I work with Louise Seymour (MUA) and Jo from Lovehair a lot. We love to collaborate on personal projects together, and they’ve recently been my hair and MUAs for my own wedding – they’re so, so good! I’d also become aware of Juliet Glaves’s work as she created a stunning floral installation for Temperley’s window display – I just knew I had to work with her. This was a personal project that gave us all the freedom to explore options and push the boundaries.
