WOW LOVES... The Wedding Spark
If you want a wedding that’s full of heart-bursting colour, full-on fun, and styling that pops and spreads smiles and joy, Rebecca Moore of The Wedding Spark is very much your gal. We chat to her today all about why she does what she does, and we just know you’ll be loving her as much as we do as she’s a wedding legend.
Hello! Who are you and what awesome thing do you do?
“Hello, lovely people. I'm Rebecca, and I'm the glitter loving, colour seeking, festival going, prosecco tippling blonde behind The Wedding Spark. I love seeing couples celebrating their wedding day in an explosion of colour - and my venue styling, on the day co-ordination and handmade bespoke backdrops will help you to do just that.”
WHY do you do what you do?
“Too often, there seems to be a sense that style and vibrant colour are mutually exclusive. I'm here to prove that you can be bold, bright and beautiful without it looking like a unicorn threw up all over your wedding!”
What couples do you love to work with?
“Couples with a well-developed sense of fun, who want their wedding to be meaningful and heartfelt, but also the kind of party that people will be talking about for years to come.”
Why will Way Out Wedding readers be thanking their lucky stars they booked you?
“I help give you a wedding with more fun and less faff! I'll be your wedding fairy godmother, making your day as vivid and colourful as the two of you are, and allowing you to really let your hair down and relax. It's your party, you deserve to enjoy it to the fullest knowing you're in safe hands.”
What are you most proud of in your business so far?
“Styling and co-ordinating my best friend's wedding was a huge honour and something I felt really proud to be a part of. Her trust in me meant a lot (and her wedding was a STUNNER!).”
Do you have a tip or hint for those getting married?
“Hear the opinions of your family and friends, but don't necessarily listen to them. Planning a wedding means a lot of advice coming out of the woodwork. Remember that this is a chance for you to celebrate who you are, and if that means foregoing the traditions and eating tacos from a food truck before hitting the dancefloor covered in glo paint, then more power to you!”
What inspires me is...
“People who are unafraid to chase down their dreams and be really free spirited without caring about what society will think. I'm also really inspired by music and I'm to be found leaping about at gigs as often as I possibly can.”
My heroes are…
“Gwen Stefani, Frida Kahlo, Mary Berry (the woman is a legend, and I won't hear otherwise!).”
Your theme tune is…
“I don't know about theme tune...but my go to karaoke number is Don't Speak by No Doubt.”
I know it's like picking a favourite child, but let's go there - what's your fave wedding you've worked on?
“A Halloween extravaganza in a lighthouse, with swallows, glitter skulls, pumpkins and aaaaaaall of the colours. It. Was. Epic.”
The next adventure for my business is…
“My next adventure? Well that's working with you, the awesome WOW readers, to organise some ruddy epic weddings!”
Thank you soooo much, Rebecca! We cannot WAIT to see what you do next!!
